In 2006, Etienne inherited the vineyards in Avizе and decided to make his own champagne, instead of selling grapes to negociants

Etienne's grandfather owns less than 3 hectares of vineyards in Avize. In the past, he sold grape juice to major brands. Etienne's father had an intetion of being a lawyer with no desire of taking over the family business. However, Etienne is completely different from his father. At the age of 14, he decided to leave Hans in order to live in the village of Avize, attend a brewing school and take first-hand experience from his grandfather. In 2010, at the age of 26, Etienne took over the winery.
